Case Managed Services
Case management is provided to WorkBC clients who are assessed as requiring more intensive services and supports to meet their employment objectives. Individuals identified as potentially needing case management services, are offered a formal needs assessment to determine if case management is beneficial for them.
Case Management Process
The case management process involves:
- Assessing a client’s employment readiness and specific employment-related needs
- Assisting the client to identify a realistic and achievable employment goal(s)
- Develop a mutually agreed upon action plan that supports the client while achieving employment objectives
- Providing employment counselling, services, and financial supports (as needed) to assist the client to achieve labour market attachment
- Connecting a client with community supports and services as identified through a client needs assessment
- Supporting and monitoring the client as they progress through their action plan, until they have successfully achieved and maintained employment or community attachment
- Job coaching and retention services during the follow-up period to ensure the client is success in their new position
